"...At a recent event in Ottawa Canada Swami Ramdev publicly endorsed the book and honoured Armstrong for his work on behalf of the international Hindu culture and community. In Spiritual Teachings of the Avatar Armstrong informs the reader about the greatness of India and the real meaning of Avatar. The book speaks to Hindu students and youth in a contemporary way giving them new tools to clearly explain their culture. Swami Ram Dev said: “Everyone should read this book.” Included in the book are two brief summary chapters explaining the great epics and Avatars of India: The Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also received a copy during his visit to Vancouver Canada this past week."

"Jeffrey Armstrong has shown how the new avatar awareness and the ancient and eternal avatar consciousness can be united for individual and global transformation. And he has done so with poetry, humor, intelligence, wit and grace. A book that will open the doorways to many higher dimensions, new hidden horizons, new worlds of delight and new ways of vision."
~ David Frawley, director, American Institute of Vedic Studies
"The concept of imagining that you are not your thoughts, thus you are not even your "imagination", sets the premise for an exploration of the deepest spiritual questions. Rooted in an awareness of the true nature of consciousness, Jeffrey awakens our intuition to what it has forgotten.
Many namaste's" ~ Terry McBride, founder of YYoga
"I truly enjoyed the unfolding of our ancient Hindu/Vedic culture and philosophy finding a fresh voice. Armstrong gallops through pretty much every social, political, scientific, religious issue currently engaging and outraging the human race, from the Transcendental to the dirt real. I so admire what has been has accomplished here."
~ Paramacharya Palaniswami, Editor-in-Chief Hinduism Today
"Jeffrey Armstrong's 'Spiritual Teachings' takes Cameron's 'Avatar' to the next plateau. Drawing on authentic Indic texts and ancient yogic tradition, Armstrong reveals truths about the Avatar conception that could indeed be fodder for future films." ~ Steven Rosen, author, Yoga of Kirtan
"Armstrong is a Western master of Eastern wisdom who has masterfully written 'The Spiritual Teachings of the Avatar' in a voice that resonates deeply with the soul. He transports us to the loving embrace of Mother Earth's arms as she reminds us, 'Live on this Earth lovingly and consciously for the good of all. I love this book!" ~ Michelle DeAngelis, Corporate Consultant and Author of 'Get a Life That Doesn’t Suck'
"As I read through the manuscript - I found it absolutely delightful reading. It reads like sublime poetry - and presents profound Vedic Hindu ideas -- that are not well understood in the West -- in a very lucid form. Employing a distinct style and imagery that is engaging and enchanting, you make difficult concepts easily understandable. I hope it reaches far and wide and is read by many students - young and old - who are seeking information and knowledge not only about the true meaning of Avatars but the most fundamental concepts of Vedic Hinduism. I commend you for the great masterpiece you have produced." ~ Ved P. Chaudhary, Ph.D., General Secretary, Hindu Collective Initiative (HCI) - North America
"I have just finished your new book, ''Spiritual Teachings of the Avatar'' and I wanted to rate it 5 stars out of 5 stars! I loved everything about it. The little ''Namaste'' meditations at the beginning of each chapter are gems of wisdom in themselves. The book progresses in a very user-friendly way and with grace and affection leads the reader on from truth to truth. I wish everyone in the world could have a copy and would recommend it to anyone. Congratulations on a wonderful book and a great service to we atmas."

"Avatar the movie was the appetizer and this book is the main course."

Some Nice Reviews...
"Universal knowledge and inspired vision. This is the book I've been seeking for the longest time because it gives the conversation around global healing a boost from deep, time tested wisdom. It's wisdom drawn from the deeply intelligent culture of ancient India that's never been presented to me before so vividly. All through university when I was learning about the political and psycho-social aspects of how the world operates, I was unsettled by the lack of concern for strengthening of the individual in this world. I was ill at ease about the way I was being trained to be a 'leader' of a corporatist paradigm my soul did not resonate with. Discovering the Vedic knowledge of India ,through Jeffrrey's book, has given me a framework for understanding the subtle and sophisticated Indigenous worldview that makes sense to me as the basis for intelligently living on the planet. The book's emphasis on the importance of a equally balanced male and female Divine is powerful because it's helped me to re-consider my own dynamics in relationship and to consider more broadly how our world is in desparate need of respect for the female 'Shakti' energy in all realms from the family, to business, politics and activism. I've found in this book a deeply considered spiritual framework for real social change. This book truely inspires."

"Some books are so inviting, they are like the welcome company of a best friend. A new friend on my bedside table is 'The Spiritual Teachings of the Avatar' by Jeffrey Armstrong. After reading this, the true meaning of an “Avatar” as expressed here has invoked in me a quest for personal transformation that involves living in the most harmonious and responsible way possible. Beginning with the many images and ideas James Cameron embedded in the popular film Avatar, Armstrong relates them to the vivid teachings of the real Avatars of India how their profound messages speak to our modern lives. He draws upon decades of study of Vedic and Yogic knowledge, yet he never overwhelms us with arcane information, instead gently leading us through the teachings. Rather than advocating a detached perspective that is often the misunderstanding of the spiritual message, Armstrong reminds us that we are both individually responsible, and deeply connected to our planet and all of Nature. Reinforcing this ecological responsibility is one of the key purposes for the Avatars descending to India thousands of years ago. Armstrong reminds us through references from the Ramayana and the Bhagavad Gita, that the modern fallacy that we can control and override Nature’s laws is what is not only destroying our planet, but also leaving us feeling spiritually and emotionally disconnected. I have been so inspired by this book that it is now required reading for all students in my HEMA Wellness Programs. My recommendation is that anyone on the yogic path befriend the 'Spiritual Teachings of the Avatar'."
